What Is A Paradigm?

The best explanation for a paradigm that I’ve come across is that it is something that you encounter that is outside your conceptions of your world. That is, it’s something (an idea, a theory, or something physical) that exists but you may never have considered it to be true or that it is even out there.

I consider my putters to be a paradigm. The most natural and abundant material around us are the rocks that make up our world, and yet people never think of using that material in golf except for a few specialty crafters.
